PatchCrest may support its publishing through advertising and commercial relationships, but those relationships must be visible to readers.

Potential revenue sources

PatchCrest may in the future earn revenue through display advertising, direct sponsorships, affiliate relationships and clearly identified sponsored content. This page does not mean that any particular advertiser currently works with PatchCrest.

Clear labels

Paid placements should be labelled ADVERTISEMENT, SPONSORED or with another equally clear disclosure. Affiliate links should be disclosed near the relevant content when PatchCrest may earn a commission from a qualifying action.

Editorial distinction

Independent editorial coverage should not be described as advertising when it is not paid, and paid material should not be disguised as independent reporting. Commercial support does not convert rumor or opinion into confirmed information.

Reviews and coverage

Receiving access, a review copy, travel support or another material benefit should be disclosed when it could reasonably matter to a reader’s understanding of the coverage.
