October 22 is the console date, not today’s launch
PEAK is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. Landfall’s console FAQ lists all three platforms; Team Peak’s October 15 PlayStation Blog announcement separately confirms the PS5 date.
The distinction matters this week: the console versions have been announced, but October 22 is still ahead. The dated PlayStation post provides the announcement chronology. The undated developer FAQ supplies the broader platform and access details checked for this report.
Crossplay connects the group; cross-save does not follow
Landfall says console players will be able to climb with the existing Steam community and players on other consoles. The PlayStation announcement describes solo play or a group of up to four: you and three friends helping one another reach the top.
That shared multiplayer pool does not include shared progression. The FAQ explicitly rules out cross-save, so do not buy a second platform version on the assumption that an existing save will transfer.
What the developer confirms about price and access
- Digital console price: the FAQ lists $9.99 USD; check your regional storefront for its actual local price.
- Online console play: a subscription is required, according to Landfall.
- Solo play: the FAQ says offline solo is possible without that subscription.
- Matchmaking: the developer says it has no current plans to add it. Organise a group rather than assuming a public matchmaking queue.
These are developer-stated purchase and access conditions, not a PatchCrest test of the console builds. This report does not establish console frame rates, resolution, crossplay stability or a subscription-library inclusion deal.
A cooperative climb, with the existing content on PS5
PEAK is the climbing collaboration between Aggro Crab and Landfall. Its premise puts lost nature scouts on an island, where reaching the mountain’s summit is their route to rescue. Helping a struggling teammate is central to the group’s survival.
Team Peak says the PS5 version includes the content updates, biomes and new items released since the original launch, along with custom-run options. That is the stated PS5 content position; it is not independent confirmation that every platform build performs identically.
