The Switch 2 exclusive is available now
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launched October 22, 2026 as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. Nintendo’s US page lists the standalone digital game at $49.99 and a Switch 2 bundle with the game plus a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership at $529.99.
Those are US list prices, not worldwide conversions. Regional storefront prices, taxes, stock and bundle availability can differ, so check the store tied to your Nintendo Account before buying.

Beyond matches, the island can be explored at three times of day. Nintendo describes dolphin chases, hidden hibiscus flowers and collectible Spocco Photos, while Island Crown provides a ladder of increasingly difficult opponents.
Players can use a Sportsmate or Mii character and spend earned Spocco Points on cosmetic items. Nintendo says themed Item Center rewards rotate monthly; that is a content cadence, not evidence of paid downloadable content.
Local players, online limits and controller requirements
Nintendo’s product page lists one to four players on one system and two to 16 online. Online features require a Nintendo Account and a Nintendo Switch Online membership, which is sold separately and is not available in every country.
- Skateboarding requires a Joy-Con 2 controller, according to Nintendo’s launch note.
- Some local multiplayer configurations need additional controllers sold separately.
- The launch promotion includes a seven-day Nintendo Switch Online trial, but eligibility is limited and it converts to a paid one-month membership unless cancelled.
- GameChat video needs a compatible USB camera; the camera is not included with the standalone game.
