What Satisfactory: Core Values is
Satisfactory: Core Values is the first paid expansion for Coffee Stain Studios’ first-person factory-building game. Revealed during Coffee Stain’s Big Break Showcase, it extends the production puzzle beneath the surface of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b rather than adding a separate destination or a small cosmetic pack.
The official Steam listing describes a new underground factory network that connects to the existing world. That framing matters: Core Values is positioned as a major expansion of the base game’s construction and exploration loop, with deeper layers of the planet becoming part of the same industrial system.
What the underground network adds
Core Values is built around new subterranean spaces and the infrastructure needed to exploit them. Coffee Stain confirms fresh resources to extract, unfamiliar flora and fauna, new production lines and additional buildings. The Steam description also says players will uncover more information about the world while pushing deeper underground.
That combination suggests more than an extra biome. New inputs, machines and structures can alter the mathematics of an established factory, while a connected below-ground network creates another logistics layer for transport, power and expansion. Coffee Stain has not yet published a complete machine list, resource chain or map-scale comparison.
Release date, price and platforms
Core Values does not have a release date or price. During the showcase, Coffee Stain said the expansion is not coming in 2026 and declined to give a broader timeline. The Steam page currently lists its release date as “To be announced.”
The official product page confirms a Steam release and says the expansion requires Satisfactory. It also lists single-player, online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer features. Coffee Stain did not announce console editions or platform-parity plans during the presentation, so availability beyond the confirmed Steam listing should remain unannounced for now.

What the paid expansion means for free updates
Coffee Stain acknowledged the change from Satisfactory’s post-launch free updates to a paid expansion. The studio said its current focus is Core Values, while adding that it still wants to make free updates. It did not promise a cadence, feature list or parallel roadmap.
The distinction is worth keeping clear. Core Values is a paid content package with newly announced systems; a general intention to continue free support is not the same as a dated commitment. Future patches, free features and their relationship to the expansion remain to be detailed.
What Coffee Stain has not announced
- A release date beyond the statement that it will not arrive in 2026.
- The expansion’s price, pre-order plan or any edition structure.
- Console availability or whether every platform will launch together.
- How existing saves, dedicated servers and modded worlds will handle the expansion.
- A complete list of resources, production chains, buildings, creatures or story discoveries.
- Whether free updates will launch before, beside or after Core Values.
Those are the practical checkpoints to watch as development continues. Until Coffee Stain publishes them directly, screenshots, trailer interpretation and store metadata should not be used to manufacture a firmer launch plan.
