Isles of Abyss is live across supported platforms
CONFIRMED BY ONCE HUMAN: Isles of Abyss opened after the October 21, 2026 PT version update. The developer lists PC, console and mobile as supported platforms and describes the scenario as PvE. Its core cycle runs for approximately 21 days across two phases before a rest stage.
Phase I lasts approximately five to ten days and can shorten as server purification progresses. Phase II lasts 11 days and eventually unlocks the Sunken Lord endgame challenge. Each listed Isles of Abyss server contains 12 worlds.
How to join without losing track of your current scenario
New players can create a character, complete or skip the New Player Experience where offered, then choose Isles of Abyss under Other Scenarios. Existing players whose current scenario has entered the Rest Period can use Menu, Scenario and Go to Sign Up to move that character.
The transfer is not a simple server hop. Once Human says the character’s level, supplies and other scenario data undergo settlement and restart in the new scenario. Cross-character Cosmetics, Blueprint Level and Mod Level are listed as data that are not settled or cleared.
Choose the same server before forming your group
Once Human recommends agreeing on a server before joining. Eligible characters can form a Scenario Squad in advance; when the leader signs up, squad members are intended to enter the same Isles of Abyss server.
If a friend’s server is full, the guide describes a Special Invitation Code route. Xbox also has a console-friend-list invitation flow. The October 20 notice says the equivalent PS5 feature was still in development, so PS5 players should not treat the Xbox instruction as universal.
November 18 is the current permanent-server estimate
The October 16 preview estimated November 12 for the permanent server. Two newer first-party records—the October 20 opening schedule and October 21 version update—changed that expectation to November 18 PT and say the permanent server should open before the first batch closes.
Isles of Abyss: RaidZone is separate from the PvE scenario. Players must switch to RaidZone mode on the character sign-in page and select a matching server. The opening notice lists console-exclusive RaidZone servers and a biweekly reopen cycle.
The version update can require a large launcher download
| Platform | Launcher download | In-game download |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 | 12.29 GB | 76 MB |
| Xbox | 20.39 GB | 82 MB |
| PC | 26.28 GB | 751 MB |
| Android | 4.8 GB | Not separately listed |
| iOS | 5.7 GB | Not separately listed |
The developer warns that Steam timing can cause duplicate downloads and recommends reserving additional storage. These figures describe the update package, not the game’s total installed size.
Ships, underwater survival and a separate RaidZone map
The scenario shifts survival into an archipelago: players build and upgrade ships, dive for resources, manage ocean hazards and advance Tech to unlock better gear crafting and facilities. Existing Blueprints and Mods can enter, but craftable rarity and active Mod attributes unlock with Tech progress.
The release also adds the separate Isles of Abyss: RaidZone map, new weapons and armor, a first-person over-the-shoulder feature and other version 3.1.1 changes. This briefing is an access and rules guide, not a review of balance or the full patch.
